Melissa McKay~
Piano, Voice, Ukulele, Guitar, Flute, and Camp Coordinator
The piano became Melissa's obsession at the age of 5. She was able to take private lessons starting then up to the age of 18. While enrolled during her early teen years, she was fortunate to audition for the Amercan College of Musicians or National Guild to be judged by highly credentialed musicians, for 3 different years, where she received high marks and certificates.
She left for for college upon high school graduation where she initially proclaimed a major of "Fine Arts", with an emphasis in music.

After her years of college, she moved back to Southern California, and began a Piano instruction career. Her enrollment quickly grew to 50 students each week, along with a wait list. Melissa's students ranged in age from 5 years old to 83 years old. She was able to raise her children as a single parent, while teaching, and was actively involved in church and community events accompanying, performing and teaching piano. She has also taught flute, accordion and organ lessons through the years.

Melissa's teaching career continued through the years, but with a modified schedule while my Sales and Marketing experience was put to use at various Family friendly theme and fun parks.

She began to increase her teaching schedule again in 2011, when she formed a relationship with the Southwest County Boys and Girls Club as the keyboard instructor for their locations, and now currently teaches exclusively at our studio.
​
Melissa is fun and energetic, and her students are encouraged each week as they walk out the door. She his highly motivational, with a unique gift of connecting on a personal level with each of her students. She enjoys finding the genres of music that compliment each personality, while focusing on good technique and curriculum.
She thoroughly love teaching the Piano, Voice, and Flute while she gets to watch her students expand their horizons while adding the gift of music into their lives.
